Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone

Happy New Year to you all.

I have a finish to show you.  It's the Margaret Sherry "Hedgehog with Daffodils" free gift, from 'The World of Cross Stitching', issue 225.

Margaret Sherry "Hedgehog with Daffodils"

For 2015, I’ve decided to stitch a cushion.  Originally it was a SAL of 'Delft Blue Tiles' in 2012, which I found on http://creativeworkshopsfromhetti.blogspot.co.uk, and a new chart was produced each month.  So, I’m slowly stitching the outline of each square and have started the first motif.  Here is what it should look like when it’s finished.

When I have some photos of my progress I will share them with you.

We have had some snow which always looks so pretty but can be quite hazardous.  I've been snow bound for a week.  Can't wait to get out and about again.

Christmas!!

Well, I'm way behind on most things.  Especially my stitching.  I have posted my Christmas Cards and bought some Christmas presents.  Here are some progress pictures of my WIPs/UFOs.  First 'Fizzy Moon' - "Winter Wonderland".  I was going to post last Wednesday, but it didn't work out.  But here's what I had done.  The second picture shows where I'm up too, or though there is still lots more to do!!

WIP/UFO in progress - Christmas Kisses by Margaret Sherry

I can't believe that it is so long since I last posted!  Where does the time fly!  I still need to do more on my "Winter Wonderland".  More back stitching needing to be done!  But I have found an old WIP/UFO.  Its the Mouse and Robin by Margaret Sherry called "Christmas Kisses".  Another card I started and not finished.  I started on the blue back ground and found I should have used one thread and not two.  So I hope I have enough, or at least have some thread like it in my stash, so I can at least finish it off, as I'm not going to unpick the blue.  But here's a photo of it so far.

This is what it shall look like when it's finished.

First of all I want to say a big welcome to all my new followers.

On Friday I bought 'Cross Stitch Crazy', issue 171.  From there I got a bit side tracked as I had to stitch the lovely freebie by Margaret Sherry of a "Cat and Robin Christmas Card".  I've just finished stitching the card, and here is a picture of it.

Santa Finished

Everyone is doing ever-so-well  with the Christmas SAL on Margaret Sherry Lovers Blogspot.  I have also finished my Santa.  I have really enjoyed stitching the pair.  I have decided not to put a pompom on top on them.  I think they look good either way.

Snowman, Holiday and Pictures

Hello Everyone

It's been some time since I last posted.  I've been away in Hunstanton, Norfolk again (3rd time this year).  The weather was amazing.  We are having an "Indian Summer" at the moment.   I've finally put on my summer clothes as its so hot.  The only thing I missed was packing my sun hat, I just had to do without it, so I kept in the shade, when ever I could.  And there was I stitching a Snowman, which I have now finished.  It's a Margaret Sherry Designs and I have stitched it on blue aida and not red, to make it stand out better.  I'm now stitching Father Christmas to complete the SAL on the Margaret Sherry Lovers Blogspot.

I thought I would share with you the photo's I took of the wonderful sunsets over the sea while I was away.  One of them shows the sun going through a cloud, which makes it look like something from outer space!

The other Saturday I went for a walk with a group of friends to Redmires Reservoir, and here are just some of the photo's that I took.

Quick Finish!

Cross Stitcher Magazine has a new freebie by Margaret Sherry called "New Haircut", which can be found here.  It was posted on Monday and I have finished stitching it today (Wednesday).    The most difficult bit was the writing with all the french knots.  And here it is.

Margaret Sherry Design.

More News.  My Owl heart hanging ornament appeared in Cross Stitcher magazine issue 243, and it was also the Star Letter.  Yesterday, I received a lovely large bunch of flowers, which was my gift from the magazine.  Here are some photo's.

Photographer Cat

New finish - Photographer Cat by Margaret Sherry.  One of the "Sports and Hobbies" designs.  I just had to stitch this cat.  It reminded me of myself.  Camera in hand and hoping to capture the right image, especially birds.  Isn't he gorgeous!

I spotted some lovely poppies in a field of corn while I was out the other week and I just want to share them with you.

This week I have been very busy helping at a Children's Holiday Club.  It was only in the mornings but quite exhausting.  But the best reward was to see the happy smiling faces of the children as they were enjoying themselves so much.  There was even a barbeque for all the families of the children on Thursday evening and we were blessed with good weather.
