At Long Last, I'm Back!!

It's been some time since I last posted.  But I do have some pictures to show you of what I have been up too.

But first, I want to share with you an Easter Card I received from my dear friend in Malta, Mary Grace.

For Easter we received a lovely cake from our daughter.  Which was really delicious.

And yes, we still have snow, but not as much as the other week.  Fortunately, it is melting and almost gone.

And I'm sure you are eager to see the "Wedding Card" and "Brides Token" that I have stitch for my daughter.

"Brides Token"
I've never made a Brides Token before, and I found it quite difficult to put it all together.  I'm quite pleased with the overall effect of it with the large pearl beads around the edge.  I just hope she will like it.  It will make a nice keepsake as a reminder of her Wedding Day.  I have stitched there names and the date of the wedding on the back together with an "Edelweiss", this time done the right way - see below.

New Finish and some wedding cards

I've finally finished my shepherd from "Starry Night" by The Prairies Schooler. And here he is.

I have also some wedding cards to show you that I have stitched.  I have used this design over and over again.  It's a joy to stitch.  I changed the filling stitch so that they are both different.  There are also pearl beads on them, but they are hard to see on the photo's.

Don't forget my Giveaway.  There is still time.  Just click here to join in the fun.
Closes on Friday 1 February 2013.  I will do the draw over the week-end.
Until Next time, Happy Stitching Everyone.

Hardanger Wedding Card

Hi Everyone

I've been very busy stitching.  A friend of mine has had a baby boy, so I'm stitching a "Popcorn" design with a heart in his hands.  Also another friend is due to have her 50th Birthday, so I'm stitching something special for her.  Then another friend has got married and I've finished stitching a card, which I can show you.  I hope they like it.

And here's a close-up.

As I'm showing you some of my Hardanger cards, I thought I would show you a thank you card I send to my friend Mary Grace for the wonderful things she sent me at Easter.

Thank you card.

Close-up of detail.

I've got some more Hardanger Cards to do as I have yet another friend who's 50th Birthday is later on this year.  I wonder which design I will choose!!  Hope to show you some more finishes next week.

Hardanger Wedding Card

I've finally finished the Hardanger Wedding Card.  I've kept it simple, and just added some cross stitch roses and wording "For Your Wedding" below the Hardanger Heart.  And to finish the card off, I've just added a satin ribbon with roses on to the side of the card.  I hope they like it.
