It's almost Christmas!!!

First of all I want to say Welcome to all my new followers.

Yes, I can say that I have been busy stitching!!  I know, it's about time!

While my husband was away, I got out my sewing machine.  I can now show you the OakHaven Owl cushion I've been planning to make for some time.  And here it is.

 

I'm so pleased with how it's turned out.  

I've also finally made up "The Prairie Schooler" Christmas designs I have been stitching for a few years.  I'm looking forward to seeing them on the Christmas Tree this year.  Here are a few photos of them.

I've also made some Christmas bell shaped ornaments with two Margaret Sherry designs in them.

Cross Stitcher Magazine

I seem to have been dashing around this week, meeting up with friends and family, so not much stitching done.  But I did have a letter published in Cross Stitcher Magazine Issue 238.  I sent them a picture of my "Kiss Me" Valentine Card by Margaret Sherry.  They cropped the picture to show the mice only, and also reversed the picture, so that the heart shaped balloon was on the left and the rose on the right.

Here is what my letter says in the magazine:-

When I received my copy of issue 236 I completely fell in love with Margaret Sherry's kissing mice (above) and dropped everything I was doing, so that I could find some fabric and threads to start stitching it straight away!  I've just finished it this morning and had to take a photo to share with you.  This will make such a great Valentine's card for my husband - he's going to love it.

And yes, he did love it.

This is not the first time that I have had a letter published in Cross Stitcher Magazine.  Last year I stitched Dr Who's David Tennent from the "Stitch A Star" part of the magazine and this was also printed in the magazine.

"Kiss Me" by Margaret Sherry

I've stitched the 'Chart of the Month', "Kiss Me" by Margaret Sherry from Cross Stitcher  issue 236.  I think I have done well to have done it already as I only received my copy on Saturday.  This will make a lovely Valentine's card for my husband, I'm sure he will like it.
