A Finish, A Freebie and Bobbins

It's some time since I've had a finish.  But "Popcorn" is ready and posted off today.  Here are some photo's of him.  I can't believe that it's taken me 3 months to stitch!!

Bobbins

I've noticed a few blogs regarding bobbins, that I wanted to share with you.   The first is by "Wild Olive".

These Wound-Up Thread/Floss Bobbins are all set for you to print out on card stock and wind up your own embroidery thread/floss on. The PDF has 20 bobbins, each with a different colour thread/floss on it...but of course, you can use them for all your lovely colours!

The next one is by Las Telitas de Mariisa, who gives a tutorial on how to make and cover bobbins with  material.   They also look great with ribbon or lace wound around them!

Almost finished! And some freebie designs on the web!

Hi Everyone

I don't want you to wait too long, so I thought I would show you how far I've managed to stitch "Popcorn".  He's almost done!

I also wanted to share with you some freebies that I have found from Coats Bulgaria and other Coats web sights.  If you like Tatty Ted you will like this one.  I have stitched it some years back for the daughter's birthday.  Here's a picture of my stitching and here's the link.  Here's the pdf link.  You will notice that I stitched mine in purples, but the original was stitched in pink.

It's been a long time.......

I'm sorry it's been such a long time since I last posted.  I can't believe that its a month.  I have been very busy and also I have been away on holiday.  I've not been stitching as much as I would have like too.  But I do have something to show you.  I just finished it this morning.  A Hardanger card with pearl beads.

I've been away in Sussex and visited some interesting placed.  Arundal Castle, Chichister Cathedral and we also explored some of the seaside towns of Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Worthing.  We did have some wonderful hot sunny weather and then along came the showers of rain, but we made the most of it.  Here are a selection of photo's that I took.
