You can never be too early to Stitch for Christmas!!

I like to start early for Christmas, so I thought I would share with you some of the Margaret Sherry Christmas designs that I have stitched.  I finished stitching the Christmas Mouse with a stocking only yesterday.  I changed the stars on the stocking to gold thread, to give it a bit of a sparkle.

"Kiss Me" by Margaret Sherry

I've stitched the 'Chart of the Month', "Kiss Me" by Margaret Sherry from Cross Stitcher  issue 236.  I think I have done well to have done it already as I only received my copy on Saturday.  This will make a lovely Valentine's card for my husband, I'm sure he will like it.

Valentine's Day - 14 February

I've just received my copy of "Cross Stitcher", issue 236 in the post today.  I just love the new Margaret Sherry designs in it.  The one that caches my eye the most is the Chart of the month "Kiss me!", which will make a perfect card for Valentine's Day.  So I am going to stop stitching my "Time and Season Sampler" for a while and start the "Kiss me!" valentine card instead.  I've already found some fabric and threads and I'm sure I've already got a card in my stash somewhere.  I'm just wondering how long it will take me to stitch!  As soon as I've finished it, I will post a picture for you.

Time and Season Sampler - WIP

As promised, I'm attaching a photo of the "Time and Season Sampler" so that you can see how I have progressed during the week.

I have added my initials which you can see at the bottom, and also the year 2011, which means I will have to finish it this year.  It's gown so fast since I last posted a photo, as I have not stitch anything else.

What a lovely Surprise!

The postman called yesterday with a package.  I was not expecting anything.  Oh, what a lovely surprise!  I had entered a "giveaway" from "New Stitches" Magazine and won.  I had won a new Sampler Kit by Moira Blackburn called "How to sow beans".

"How to sow beans"

"Time and Season Sampler"

I just love samplers and have already started another one of her kits called "Time and Season Sampler".  I purchased this one over 17 years ago, but for some reason had stopped.  So I got it out of my WIP stash and have started again.

This is how I found it on 6 January 2011.

Well, since then I have been stitching away and enjoying every minute of it.  It's grown quite a lot in a week.

I will post a picture once a week to show you how it is progressing.

Welcome to my first ever blog!

Well, I've finally taken the plunge and started a blog.  I'm hoping to share with you, all of my stitching that I am  doing this year.  Hardanger is a passion of mine, so I hope to show you how easy it is.  Also I will put links on to show you where you can find freebie patterns.  I've also been going through my stitching stash and have discovered a lovely sampler that I purchased over 17 years ago!  I know, I was in shock when I found the receipt.  Well I have started it again and I will post pictures of how I am progressing.

I can also post my first finish for 2011.  "Santa Paws" by Margaret Sherry.  Isn't he cute!
